Logistics
• Date: Saturday, June 2, 2012 – 10 am to 3 pm on Needham’s Town Common and surrounding streets.
• Electricity: If you require electricity, you will need to bring a 100 ft heavy duty electrical cord to plug into the large tree’s (Blue tree) electrical box located adjacent to the town common flagpole.
• Set up and Check In: When you arrive, please check in at the NBA table by the Town Hall steps on Garrity’s Way to obtain your space location and other important information. Check in is between 7:45 am to 8:30 am. Please be advised that Chapel Street from the Bank of America driveway to Great Plain Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at approximately 8:30 am. All vehicles need to be removed from Town Common area by 8:30 am and may return no earlier than 3 pm.
• Space size: 10 x 10 feet. One 10 x 10 tent is allowed per space. There will be absolutely NO staking due to underground sprinkler system.
• Parking: Vendor parking is located at the town parking lot adjacent to 60 Dedham Avenue. No parking on Highland Ave, Chapel Street near the Town Hall or at Walgreens. Please be advised that Chapel Street (from the Bank of America Driveway to Great Plain Avenue) and Great Plain Avenue (from Highland Ave. to Chapel St.) WILL BE CLOSED during this event. Parking is not permitted in back of Town Hall. Cars will be towed from these areas if necessary.
• Food Vendors: All food vendors selling pre-packaged food or fresh food are required to obtain a temporary food permit from the Needham Board of Health. All food handlers must follow food-handling guidelines in order to participate. We will be providing a list of food handlers to the Board of Health. • Helium Balloon Tanks: If you plan to bring a helium balloon tank, you must follow all guidelines in order to participate in the Fair. All helium balloon tanks must be secured to a pole or tree with a chain. Please receive proper handling training from the rental agency.
• Trash: All vendors are required to bring their own trash bag and remove their own trash at the end of the day.
• Prohibited Items: Silly string, stink bombs, snaps, caps, plastic guns/knives and other destructive items.
• Breakdown: To maintain the momentum of the Fair and visitors’ attention, you may not breakdown your booth any earlier than 3 pm. Vehicles may be brought back to the Town Common area after 3 pm, and break down should be completed by 3:30 pm. Streets will open shortly after 3:30 pm.
• Rain date: There will be no rain date for the NBA Street Fair. A recording on the NBA voicemail by 3 pm on Friday, June 1, will announce the decision to cancel the event because of weather safety concerns. Call 781-444-7980.
Weather: If you are concerned about weather, please bring a golf umbrella, or canopy to protect against sun or rain. There will be no refunds.
